In 2005, he was selected for the Asia-Oceania Fellowship in Epileptology by the International League against Epilepsy and underwent training in Epilepsy at National Epilepsy Centre of Japan in 2005-2006.
Epilepsy Society of Australia awarded him the fellowship in Paediatric epilepsy for the year 2008.
